Built for the drift-and-bucktail game on Northeast and Mid-Atlantic fluke grounds, the Doormat Bandit is a 7'3" medium-power, fast-action rod made to feel a flatfish inhale a bucktail in deep water or ripping tide — and drive the hook home before it lets go. A "doormat" is the fluke of a lifetime; the Bandit is built to steal them off the bottom.

Fluke Performance Features

• Tap-dance sensitivity: A crisp, fast tip works bucktails and teasers in short, precise hops instead of long sweeps — and telegraphs the soft "thump" of a doormat inhaling the jig, so you set on the take, not on weight.
• Backbone for the big ones: Medium power with a fast transition to a strong lower section swings 20 lb-plus fluke — and the stray striper, tog, or yellowtail — up off the bottom and through current without tearing hooks.
• All-day composite blend: A carbon-and-glass blank keeps total weight around 6 oz to kill fatigue on long drifts, while handling 1–6 oz of jig or bucktail as tide and depth demand.
• Tier-built components: Standard ships with stainless guides and EVA grips; Premium upgrades to a titanium guide train and EPDM foregrips — lighter, more sensitive, and a tackier hold when your hands are wet. Both casting or spinning.
