01 · The Consult
We start with a conversation — your target species, how you fish, and your home water. No jargon required: you bring the fishing, I'll bring the questions.
02 · The Spec
I translate that into a build sheet — blank, length, power, and action. Then I map the guide train: ring count, sizes, and the exact spacing that lets your line flow clean and the blank load evenly under load.
03 · Reel Seat & Balance
Seat selection and placement are where a rod stops feeling like a stick and starts feeling like yours. The right seat — and exactly where it sits on the blank — sets the balance point, so the rod points where you want it with no wrist fatigue over a long tide.
04 · The Build
Built by hand in South Dartmouth — blank prepped, guides wrapped, thread burnished and sealed under finish. One rod at a time, on the bench, start to finish.
05 · The Handoff
Wrapped, finished, and tested for true. It ships ready for opening day — and it's backed for life.
